A man’s alleged dangerous driving resulted in a fiery highway crash at Karalee that sent two people to hospital, with one in a critical condition.

A man whose alleged dangerous driving caused a fiery highway crash which landed himself and two other people in hospital has been named.
Michael Colin Hicks was arrested following a two-car crash on the Warrego Highway at Karalee on Saturday.
Mr Hicks remains in custody and was due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday and Tuesday but both mentions were adjourned while he continues to receive treatment in hospital.
The 29-year-old was charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death or grievous bodily harm while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance, driving without a licence, enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, evasion and obstruct police officer – in a public place while adversely affected.
The matter was adjourned to Wednesday.
A 37-year-old Wilsonton Heights woman, who was a passenger in the Mazda, was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition following the crash.
The occupant from the other car, a 49-year-old Glenvale man, was taken to the same hospital in a stable condition with an arm injury.
