High praise for our hospital staff

LAST weekend, I had a traumatic horse-riding accident and was taken to Ipswich Hospital as I was so far from home.

I cannot praise enough all levels of staff who keep the hospital running smoothly.

I would like to thank the professional and kind emergency and ward 5F staff and nurses and doctors who went out of their way to ensure I had the best delivery of care whilst at all times ensured I was respected, listened to and empowered. Also, a big thanks to the kind and thoughtful staff who had to wheel me from pillar to post and kept the wards sparkling.

Then there was the radiography staff for their concern and for protecting my dignity. And not forgetting the unobtrusive tea ladies who quietly went around offering coffee and a smile or the theatre and recovery staff for allaying my fears.

I honestly cannot thank you all enough. You rock.
