Highway delay as emergency crews respond to truck rollover at Kanigan

Delays are expected on the Bruce Hwy between Gympie and Maryborough after a truck rollover, with crews working to clear the scene.

A truck driver has been taken to Gympie Hospital after a dramatic truck rollover on the Bruce Hwy at Kanigan, near Glenwood, in the early hours of Friday morning.

Recovery efforts are still underway after the truck rolled into a ditch by the side of the highway after the incident, which happened about 3.10am at the intersection with Murphys Rd.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Another crash on the highway on Friday has also caused major delays.

Emergency services rushed to Bald Hills at 12:33pm following reports of a motorbike and four-vehicle crash on the Bruce Hwy northbound near the Gateway Motorway off-ramp.

Two patients are being treated.

Near Rockhampton, emergency services are responding to reports of another truck rollover.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said officers were called at 1.20pm to a truck rollover on the Bruce Highway near the Grosvenor Park Road at Kunwarara, north of Rockhampton.

Further reports indicate a B-double has rolled, completely blocking the highway in both directions.
