Emergency crews race to Bruce Highway crash at Chatsworth after car flips

Police are investigating whether drink driving or fatigue were contributing factors to a crash that partially closed the Bruce Highway on Thursday night.

Police are investigating whether drink driving or fatigue were contributing factors to a crash that partially closed the Bruce Highway on Thursday night.
The crash happened about 8.10pm in the southbound lane of the highway at Chatsworth on the northern outskirts of Gympie.

A Gympie man in his 60s was the driver of the vehicle that flipped, and was taken to Gympie Hospital with minor injuries.

It is understood a blood sample was taken for examination.

The highway reopened later on Thursday night.
