Police are seeking public help after a Mitsubishi Triton hit a police car on Tin Can Bay Road before being dumped in bushland.

Police are seeking public help after a Mitsubishi Triton hit a police car on Tin Can Bay Road before being dumped in bushland.

In a media release, police said the “vehicle has departed that location at speed”.

It was seen in the North Deep Creek area then found “abandoned in bushland.

The 2022 white dual cab ute had no registration plates.

An ATV was also seen travelling along the roads in the area and is believed to be linked to the incident.

The hit and run occurred between 3.15pm and 4pm on Wednesday, March 27.

Police are calling for assistance in relation to the incident.
