Man injured, cow dead after crash on Old Bruce Highway at Kybong

A cow died and a man was injured after a crash in the Gympie region on Saturday night.

Police and emergency services were called to a single-vehicle crash in Kybong.

Initial information indicates a white Holden Commodore was travelling along the Old Bruce Highway about 8.40pm when it struck a cow.

The driver and sole occupant, a 29-year-old Gympie man, sustained minor injuries, but declined transport to hospital.

The cow was required to be euthanised.
