Emergency crews race to rollover at Maryborough Speedway event

A driver has been flown hospital after suffering suspected spinal injuries in a crash at Maryborough Speedway.

A driver has been flown to hospital with suspected spinal injuries after a serious crash at Maryborough Speedway on Saturday.

The single-vehicle rollover happened about 5pm.

Three fire crews were sent to the scene to help remove the patient from the vehicle and a rescue helicopter has been sent to the scene.

A spokeswoman from the Queensland Ambulance Service said the man had suffered suspected spinal injuries in the crash.

The man, aged in his 30s, was flown to the Brisbane Royal and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.

The Production Sedan Queensland title was being held at the speedway on Saturday night.
