Abandoned home gutted by fire in early hours at Nikenbah
A home has collapsed and a road closed after a blaze near Hervey Bay with investigations to be carried out to determine whether it was suspicious.

An abandoned home at Nikenbah has collapsed after a fire tore through it just after 5am on Friday.
Police closed Maggs Hill Rd between Main St and Doolong South Rd on Friday as fire crews battled to contain the blaze.
A spokeswoman from the Queensland Fire Department said the structure had collapsed and while the fire was now contained, crews were working to dampen hot spots.
Due to the damage, a full search of the structure hadn’t been completed, she said, but the house was believed to be an abandoned home.
A spokesman from the Queensland Ambulance Service said no patients had been treated.
A police spokeswoman said the fire was still ongoing and it was yet to be determined if the fire was suspicious or not.
A crime scene had not been declared, she said.
