Levi Hanna GoFundMe soars past $11k as tributes continue
There has been a deluge of donations and support for young footy player Levi Hanna, who was critically injured when he was hit by a car after school on Wednesday afternoon.

Family, friends and community members are rallying in support of Levi Hanna as he continues his fight for life, with a fundraiser for the critically injured teenager soaring above $11,000 in less than a day.
More than 160 people or groups have donated to the help the 14-year-old and his devastated family after he was struck by a car in an horrific incident at Canina on Wednesday afternoon, February 1, 2023.
He was only about 100m away from his home when he was hit.
Levi remains in a critical condition at the Queensland Children’s Hospital; it is understood his family will be meeting again with doctors later Friday.
The Caboolture Snakes Junior Rugby League club was among the more than 160 donors to have thrown their support into the fundraising campaign, while other Queensland junior league groups have offered their well wishes and prayers online.
The Gympie Devils, which Levi had been a member of since he was seven years old, shared the campaign online to help the family.
“His mum has told us that all we can do is pray for a miracle for her little boy right now,” it said.
“So please do.”
The Caloundra Sharks and Nambour junior clubs left their own messages of support on the page.

Levi’s aunt Amber posted a heartbreaking message on her own page Thursday night expressing her love for her nephew, saying the incident “has just torn all of us into pieces”.
“He is such an irreplaceable part of our family, heavy hearted and inconsolable is how I feel tonight.”

Levi’s employer, Mowing to You, made its own call for support on social media for the teenager who took on the job “anytime he has spare, with great enthusiasm”.
Gympie State High School, where Levi just started Year 9, issued a statement on its Facebook page in support for Levi and offering its students support.
“Please ensure that you, your friends and your family members are travelling to and from school safely,” the post said.
