Landslide vote crowns Gympie’s cheekiest toddler | 2024

A mischievously adorable farm boy has stolen the hearts of the Gympie region with his country charm and adventurous spirit. Meet the region’s cheekiest top 5 toddlers.

From riding on tractors and diggers, to giggling to no end playing with his three cattle dogs, Gympie’s cutest cowboy has been named the cheekiest of all.

Twenty month old Beau Elliott has stolen hearts across the region with his country charm and inquisitiveness.

“Beau was born a very old soul,” his mum, Emma Waller said.

Always smiling and spending time outdoors with the animals, even while he was learning to walk, Beau was as mischievous as ever.

He would often be spotted pulling himself in a standing position at the fridge handle, on the toilet and lounges, where ever he could reach to stand up.

“I use to find him with the dishwasher door down standing up on it just giggling once he was caught in the action,” Emma said.

Emma and her mother, Vicki Waller, have said that Beau’s cheekiest and favourite things to do is grab the TV remote which he knows he’s not supposed to have, and runs off to hide with it.

“When he arrives at Nana’s (Vicki’s house), he’s straight inside to find the TV remote in swap for a jelly bean or more so a handful of jelly beans,” Vicki said.

Country boy Beau Elliot has claimed the title of Gympie’s cheekiest toddler by a landslide, with 22 per cent (45 votes).

Sue Elliott, Beau’s grandma on his dad’s side, was ecstatic to hear of her grandson’s win, recalling a cheeky memory of him.

“One day while I was looking after him his dad (Shane Elliott) got home from work so he bought me my shoes to tell me I could go home now dad’s home,” Sue said.

“He has been a ball of fun since the day we brought him home from hospital and I’m yet to see what more cheeky things he brings to the table as time goes on,” Emma said.

#2 Tidus

Coming in as the runner up for Gympie’s cheekiest toddler, one year old Tidus received 13 per cent of the votes.

#2 Tidus: 1 year old

#3 Fletcher

With seven votes between them and second place, 21 month old boy, Fletcher has placed in third with 10 per cent of the votes.

#3 Fletcher: 21 months old

#4 Tied between Charlie: 2 years old and Savannah

Tying for fourth place with 6 per cent of the votes, is two year old Charlie and 21 month old Savannah.

#5 Kennadee

And lastly, two year old girl, Kennadee, came in fifth place with 4 per cent of the votes.
