Woman flown to hospital after serious Agnes Water crash

A woman has suffered “significant” injuries after becoming trapped in a van following a crash with a 4WD in Agnes Water this morning.

Emergency services were called to a serious crash involving a van and a 4wd at Captain Cook Dr and Springs Rd about 8am this morning at Agnes Water.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said when they arrived a woman was trapped in the van.

“We had one person trapped, our crews went into action with the hydraulic tools,” the spokesman said.

“It was a woman trapped by her legs in the van … they had her free by 8.46am.”

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said their crews treated the woman for “significant” injuries.

“It looks like she is suffering from neck, back and lower leg injuries,” the spokesman said.

She was later flown to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.

A second patient was taken by ambulance to Bundaberg Hospital, also in a stable condition.
