A STUNNING concept and a bundle of great teamwork have produced top awards for design company Gladstone Drafting.

Owners Vicki and Anthony Buenen won Building Design Association state finals for what they say is "effectively a two-bedroom shack".

Agnes Water builder Kieran Gibson of Gibson Building said the 300sq m home was "basically two rectangles sitting at angles to each other, with the rooves overlapping".

"One of the most unusual features is the use of an upside down roof truss over one of the outdoor areas, which allows for a 3.6m overhang without employing any columns - giving you an unobscured view over the tree tops and out to the ocean."
