A serial Central Queensland domestic violence offender uploaded intimate photos of his victim to OnlyFans - but his crimes didn’t end there.
The 36-year-old man, who by law cannot be named, appeared in custody in Gladstone Magistrates Court on March 20 where he pleaded guilty to two counts of contravening a domestic violence order.
Before explaining the two offences, police prosecutor Sergeant Merrilyn Hoskins outlined the man’s domestic violence history which included six prior DV offences.
“I’ll take the court briefly through the previous breaches of DV... just so that Your Honour can see the context of the two (latest offences) which he is before the court today, just as it’s a culmination,” Sgt Hoskins said.
The prosecutor said in 2022, the man was outside a court when he asked the aggrieved woman to “drop the charges”.
Then a couple of months later, police found him in her bedroom when he was not meant to be there.
The next month, the man tried to take the woman home from a Gladstone venue against her will.
In early 2023, the man called the woman about 35 times, she woke to a noise at the front door and he went inside the house where he stayed for five days.
“When police asked him what he was doing there, he said that the aggrieved was using him for sex,” Sgt Hoskins said.
The prosecutor said during the man’s stay, he took $500 cash from the woman’s handbag while she was out.
Later, the man called the woman seven times, but she did not answer.
Then the woman became aware that the man had uploaded intimate images of them both on Twitter, Instagram and OnlyFans.
“(The man) was the only person who had access to those images,” Sgt Hoskins said.
Later, the man sent a video of the woman performing oral sex, to another man.
He also kept trying to call her and when she would not answer, he called her “a sl--.”
In relation to the two latest offences before the court, they happened in September last year and March this year.
The first involved the pair walking into a Gladstone store together and the second involved police finding the man inside the woman’s home.
Sgt Hoskins said the woman had been “worn down” by the man’s attempts to contact her and be with her.
The court heard the man’s two-page criminal history consisted “almost entirely” of DV offending and he was currently on three suspended sentences.
Solicitor Rio Ramos submitted the latest two offences were “a de-escalation” of the man’s offending.
Magistrate Mary Buchanan declared 10 days’ pre-sentence custody as time already served and sentenced the man to four months’ jail, wholly suspended for 15 months, with immediate parole.
She also activated the three suspended sentences to be served cumulatively.
Convictions were recorded.
