This woman had a heavy fall from grace which landed her in Gladstone Magistrates Court.

A woman who refers to herself as a ‘a goddess of goddesses’ on social media wound up in Gladstone Magistrates Court facing drug charges.

Aysha-Marie Khachan, 34, pleaded guilty to possessing dangerous drugs and possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.

On July 9 around 11.25pm, police intercepted Khachan driving on Rossella Street, Gladstone.

Khachan stated she was heading from her house to the Night Owl Centre to purchase something.

Khachan appeared nervous and when questioned why she was travelling down backstreets to get to the location, she stated it was easier despite it being a longer journey.

Police searched Khachan’s car and a small cannabis bud, weighing 83 grams, was located in a cigarette packet along with a metal grinder which contained 37 grams of chopped up cannabis.

Khachan told police the cannabis belonged to her friend, but she knew about it and must have picked up the wrong pack of cigarettes instead of her own.

She stated she had used the grinder a few days prior to being intercepted but it also belonged to her friend.

Acting Magistrate Bevan Manthey convicted and fined Khachan $400. No convictions were recorded.
