Man suffers facial injuries after 80kg beam falls at Gladstone workplace

A man has suffered facial injuries after an 80kg beam fell on him at a Central Queensland workplace on Saturday.

Paramedics were called to a Gladstone business about 11.51am.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said a man in his 30s sustained facial injuries that were “non life-threatening.”

He was taken to Gladstone Hospital in a stable condition.

A QAS spokeswoman said Workplace Health and Safety was investigating the incident.
