Inappropriately offering to buy a magistrate a cup of tea and cake has landed a woman in the slammer for almost two hours.

Nousha Koni Hudson was seated in the Gatton Magistrates Court gallery on July 5, when she talked to the magistrate and became irate with others in the gallery.

“Judge, you look like you need a cup of tea and cake love,” Hudson, 44, of Summerholm, said from the back of the courtroom

Hudson, who was soon to face the magistrate for one charge of common assault and one charge of trespass, was told to be quiet by another member of the gallery.

A man who was sitting behind Hudson “don’t talk to the judge like that” prior to her eruption.

Not taking to being told what to do, Hudson yelled at the man to stop talking to her repeatedly.

“I beg your pardon. Don’t speak to me,” Hudson yelled at him.

With temperatures rising, magistrate Kay Ryan called an adjournment, which is when Hudson fired up.

“I wasn’t being rude at all. You’re being rude to me. Mind your own business and don’t speak to me,” Hudson said to the man.

Police prosecutor sergeant Narelle Lowe was forced to step in when Hudson became irate.

“Enough. He’s correct, you shouldn’t have spoken to the magistrate like that. I do understand your intention was being nice …” sergeant Lowe said.

Hudson interjected: “I wasn’t being rude.”

The sergeant pointed out the woman’s actions were inappropriate, with Hudson questioning how.

That’s when Hudson turned around and yelled “you know what, f**k off”, to the man behind her.

Sergeant Lowe had to raise her voice at the woman “all right you’re going to be under arrest”, as Hudson became irate at the man in the gallery.

Two police officers were called into the courtroom and charged Hudson for public nuisance.

She spent almost two hours in the watch house before her cases were heard in court, which were adjourned.

Hudson will reappear in the Gatton Magistrates Court on August 16.
