Detectives have charged a young woman over a horror fire that claimed the lives of 54-year-old Biggenden baker Todd Mooney and his 10-year-old daughter, Kirra.

Police revealed on Friday the 24-year-old from Maryborough faced two counts of murder and one of arson.

It was also revealed the woman was not known to the Mooney family and investigations into the alleged crimes were ongoing.

The woman will appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on January 7.

Investigators were able to create a timeline of events with the help of three key witnesses, police said.

Officers have found some items of interest but are still searching for evidence, with police divers at Biggenden on Friday.

Police said the woman had ties to Biggenden and went to school in the township.

They were unable to comment on how Mr Mooney and his daughter died and whether it was caused by the fire.

Mr Mooney and his daughter were found dead following the ferocious fire at the Biggenden property days before Christmas.

It was first thought to be a tragedy, but police later confirmed the December 20 deaths were being treated as suspicious.

Police launched a homicide investigation, believing a third party may have been involved, with a team of SES volunteers searching for guns or knives.

On Monday, detectives from Maryborough Criminal Investigation Branch released CCTV footage and images taken at the Ban Ban Springs BP Service Station, corner of Isis Hwy and Burnett Hwy, between 11.50am and 12.20pm on Tuesday, December 20, of three people.

The three, a man on his own, and a man and woman travelling together, were said to have no link to the deceased but could have information.

Detective Inspector Gary Pettiford said Mr Mooney’s fiance, Bec Hansen, was working at the bakery when the fire started about noon on December 20.

The bodies of her soon-to-be husband and young daughter were later found inside the shed, which was destroyed in the blaze.

Insp Pettiford said Ms Hansen was left “distraught” by the loss of her partner and her daughter.

The couple was set to be married on December 28, with their wedding to be held at the property on Fenwicks Rd.

A Go Fund Me page was started this week to support Ms Hansen in the wake of the deaths of her partner and daughter.

“We are hoping to assist the family with any outstanding costs associated with this tragedy,” Mr Hansen wrote on the Go Fund Me page.

“This life-changing incident happened five days before Christmas and eight days before Todd was meant to marry his partner Rebecca, Kirra’s mother.
