Takura crash: One of the men seriously hurt identified

A man in his 20s is recovering in Hervey Bay Hospital after suffering ‘life threatening’ injuries in a crash at Takura, which left a second man with chest, pelvic and leg injuries.

A young Fraser Coast man is recovering and in a stable condition in Hervey Bay Hospital following a serious crash at Takura which left him with life-threatening injuries on Friday, September 13.

Blake Hickey was rushed to hospital after being freed from the wreckage of his vehicle after it collided with another on Torbanlea-Pialba Rd, near its intersection with Barnett Rd, shortly before 8am.

Mr Hickey suffered life-threatening leg and facial injuries in the crash.

A second man, aged in his 60s and the occupant of the other vehicle, suffered chest, pelvic, and leg injuries.
