The Fraser Coast Regional Council has announced it will invest $62,000 in regional sport and recreation facilities.

The funds are part of the 2020-21 Round 2 Sport and Recreation Capital Assistance Grants.

Here’s how the money will be allocated:

  • Maryborough and District Rifle Club: Laptop $1,724.55
  • Maryborough Softball Association: Sporting equipment, $1,433
  • Wide Bay Rowing Club: Oars, $2,000
  • Hervey Bay and District Tennis Association: Tennis balls, $2,000
  • Maryborough Swimming Club: Stopwatches, iPad, iPad pencil, printer, $1,730.91
  • Bayside Transformations: Resistance training equipment, $1,944.45
  • Hervey Bay Bombers Australian Football and Cricket Club: Goal posts and pads, $2,000
  • Bay Power Australian Football Club: Goal post padding, $2,000
  • Fraser Coast Pistol Club: Build up the bullet stop butts on ranges 1 and 2, $2,000
  • Football Maryborough: Line Marker, $2,000
  • Fraser Coast Cycling: Smart bike power trainer, $1,800
  • Maaroom Progress and Ratepayers Association: Indoor bowls mat and carrier, $2,000

  • Granville Football Club: Pop-up goals for the Juniors and agility poles, $2,000
  • Maryborough Amateur Athletic Club: Shelving, $1,790

  • Hervey Bay Active Riders Club: Replace club trailer, $2,000
  • Hervey Bay Croquet and Mallet Sports Club: Four sets of Croquet balls, $1,960
  • Hervey Bay Netball Association: Four shade marquees, $2,000
  • Kawungan Sandy Straits Football Club: Game size goals, $2,000
  • Fraser Coast Sporting Clays Association: Batteries, $2,000
  • Fraser Coast Outrigger Canoe Club and Fraser Coast Red Dragons Boat Club: Drone, $1,692
  • Bayside Strikers Football Club: Replace playing kits and balls, $1,800
  • Tiaro and District Sports Club: Equipment, $1,547.88
  • Burgowan Men’s Bowls Club: Junior bowls and equipment, $2,000
  • Hervey Bay Surf Life Saving Club: Racing Mal board for cadets, $2,000
  • Riding for Disabled, Association Maryborough: Equipment, $1,854
