Teen allegedly goes on rampage, threatens staff at Maryborough business

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after he allegedly caused a disturbance outside a Maryborough business.

A teenage boy has been charged after he allegedly unleashed at a Maryborough business.

Police were called to a disturbance at a business on Ferry Street about 11.40pm on July 7 where it will be alleged a 14-year-old boy was attempting to steal shop goods.

Police will allege the Maryborough boy then kicked the shop front doors and attempted to leave the store without paying.

They further allege the teen threatened to assault the shop attendant before leaving.

On July 8, officers from Maryborough Police Station located and arrested the teen with multiple offences including wilful damage, stealing and common assault.

He is expected to appear before Maryborough Children's Court this week.
