Police appeal for information after body found at beach at Hervey Bay

A report is being prepared for the coroner and police are appealing for information after a man’s body was found in the water at a Hervey Bay beach.

A statement from the Queensland Police Service said a report would be prepared for the coroner following the non-suspicious death of a man found in water at Point Vernon on Thursday, December 26.

About 3.30pm, emergency services were called to the Esplanade to reports of a man’s body in the water.

Police are urging anyone with information or relevant dashcam or CCTV vision to contact Policelink.
