The identity of a man accused of deliberately torching an Aldershot home on Monday has been revealed.
Arthur Bruce More, 32, entered no plea after being arrested and charged with one count each of arson and dangerous operation of a vehicle with prior conviction (domestic violence offence) after he allegedly crashed a white Isuzu D-Max utility into a Sapphire St property before allegedly deliberately setting the house on fire about 3pm on Monday, January 20.
More did not appear in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning as he was still being treated in hospital for superficial burns received in the incident.
His lawyer, Virginia Ukpabi of Geldard Sherrington Lawyers, requested an adjournment to Thursday, January 23 so More could be discharged from hospital and appear via video link.
The matter was ultimately adjourned to January 23, with More being remanded in custody and his appearance being required via video link.
