A man charged with murder after the death of his former partner is set to appear before court in Maryborough next month.

A man charged with murder over the death of his former partner has had his case briefly mentioned in court.
Daniel Noel Holm had his matter briefly mentioned in Maryborough Magistrates Court in late March as it continues to proceed through the courts.
Police allege Mr Holm killed Alana Martin, a much-loved mum of four, at her home at Owanyilla in January.
Mr Holm, 43, was charged after he attended the Maryborough Police Station about 5.30pm on January 28.
After that, police went to a home at Owanyilla on Old Gympie Road and found the 30-year-old Maryborough woman dead inside the home.
Police have not revealed how Ms Martin was killed.
The matter was adjourned until May 13.
