A multi vehicle crash on the Old Bruce Hwy in Owanyilla has left traffic at a standstill on Easter Monday.
Emergency crews received a call about 10.52am after reports at least two vehicles, a ute and a hatchback, were involved in a collision at the Owanyilla turn-off about 21km south of Maryborough.
A Queensland Fire Emergency Service spokesman said a third vehicle may have also been involved.
Two people were taken by ambulance to Maryborough Hospital following the crash with unspecified injuries.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said traffic was backed up to the Pineapple Hill and possibly further with both lanes affected.
“Motorists are advised delays are expected,” the spokeswoman said.
Police are also urging motorists to avoid the area.
