More than a year after closing at its Ferry St premises, a new Red Rooster outlet has opened in Maryborough.
The new business has opened near McDonalds in Alice St, attached to the new 7-Eleven service station.
Red Rooster closed in November, 2021, intending to move to the site in 2022.
But delays meant the new store did not open until this month.
According to 7-Eleven’s Steve Went, the new outlet is the first of many to follow in coming years, with two or three new stores to open on the Fraser Coast in the next few years.
“People can grab their favourite products and fill up at any time 24 hours a day, 365 days a year,” Mr Went said.
“We have food and convenience options including 7-Eleven’s handmade sandwiches, wraps and Krispy Kreme doughnuts, as well as 7-Eleven’s freshly ground Fairtrade certified coffee, Slurpee including Slurpee no sugar options and our frozen blended smoothies, frappés and shakes.
“Our store manager Joanne Hodgson and her team have been doing an amazing job working to get this store stocked and ready to welcome our customers on opening day.”
Red Rooster also joins another new business on the site, 40 Winks, which was built alongside the 7-Eleven development.
