Multi-vehicle crash on Maryborough-Hervey Bay Road
A multi-vehicle crash where a car is on fire and a caravan has been jammed against a bridge is causing massive delays between Maryborough and Hervey Bay, with the road expected to be close for hours.

A multi-vehicle crash has blocked the Maryborough-Hervey Bay Rd,banking up traffic at Susan River.
The crash, which happened about noon on Thursday, involved multiple vehicles and a caravan.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said Maryborough Hervey Bay Rd was expected be closed for a number of hours while crews investigate and recover.
Diversions are in place at Booral Rd roundabout and Churchill Mine Rd.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said four fire crews initially responded to the scene when one of the vehicles had caught fire; it was soon brought under control.
Two fire crews remain at the scene with both lanes still closed.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said one man who was experiencing neck pain was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital in stable condition.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
