Man taken to Hervey Bay Hospital after house fire at Urangan, Qld

Emergency crews have taken a man to the Hervey Bay Hospital after part of his Fraser Coast home went up in flames.

A man has been taken to the Hervey Bay Hospital after part of his Urangan home went up in flames on Wednesday.
Firefighters, paramedics and police were called to the home, near the intersection of Boat Harbour Dr and Cartwright Court, shortly after midday.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said crews arrived to find a fire in one of the home’s rooms.

Fireys worked for more than 20 minutes to control the blaze.

The man, of unknown age, was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
