Three crews have rushed to the scene of a kitchen fire at Hervey Bay on New Year’s Eve.

Fire crews have attended a kitchen fire at Eli Waters.

Three fire crews were called to a kitchen fire at Eli Waters on New Year’s Eve.

The incident happened about 7.48pm on Sunday at a single-storey home on Bounty Circuit.

A spokeswoman from the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service said three crews, two from Torquay fire station and one from Craignish, had responded to the incident.

She said when crews arrived, the home had been safely evacuated when crews arrived.

Paramedics also attended the scene, but no patients had to be treated.

The spokeswoman said the fire was extinguished by 8.17pm.
