Scott Allan Kohl pleads not guilty in Dalby District Court to common assault, grievous bodily harm, strangulation

The trial of a man accused of nine offences, including grievous bodily harm and strangulation, has been adjourned to a later date in the Dalby District Court.

Scott Alan Kohl has pleaded not guilty to a number of serious offences, with a trial taking place in Dalby District Court.

The trial of a man, charged with a series of assault and driving offences over a two-year period, has been adjourned Monday.

Scott Allan Kohl faced the court on Tuesday pleading not guilty to nine charges including two counts of common assault, three counts of bodily harm, one count of grievous bodily harm, one count of strangulation without consent and two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle.

The offences are alleged to have occurred over a two-year period with the first occurring somewhere between July 1 and September 30, 2018, and the last on April 28, 2020.

All of the offences are alleged to be against the same victim who will be one of almost a dozen people expected to testify throughout eventual trial.

During the opening day of the proceedings the jury were sworn in and the charges were read to Mr Kohl.

The trial recommence on Wednesday morning before being adjourned to the afternoon.

Judge Horneman-Wren then told the jury they would be discharged as the trial was not ready to go ahead and the matter was adjourned to Monday.
