The family of a young Dalby man who died in hospital after a horrific car crash that left his girlfriend dead has started a fundraiser to help farewell him.

The family of a man tragically killed in a horror crash that also claimed the life of his girlfriend are asking for donations to contribute to his farewell.
David Connolly was critically injured when the car driven by his girlfriend Brooke Dalton lost control and crashed into a parked prime mover on Nicholson Street in the early hours of Tuesday.
Ms Dalton died at the scene, while Mr Connolly died in hospital on Sunday.
A GoFundMe has now been started to fund Mr Connolly’s funeral, and has already raised more than $5000.
“If you could find it in your heart to contribute to David’s farewell, we, as a family, would be extremely grateful,” Samantha Fernan said.
“Dave is only 27 years old and had his whole life ahead of him.
“Thank you to all who have sent their thoughts and prayers to David.”

Tributes poured in for the 27-year-old after police confirmed his tragic death on Sunday evening.
“Heartbreaking for the family and friends and loved ones of these to young people. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve their passing,” Gwenda Johnstone said.
Prominent community members also paid tribute to Ms Dalton, who was described as an “amazing young woman”.
“She never let us down, even if she was facing something that was hard for her,” he told News Corp last week.
“She saw the club as a place of safety which is exactly what it was and a place of fun, which she certainly had in the six years I saw her there.”
