Emergency crews responded to a semi-trailer rollover on Moonie Hwy

Paramedics, police and firefighters were called to the scene of the semi-trailer rollover in the Western Downs which closed a major highway for more than an hour.

Emergency crews were called to Moonie on Thursday night after a truck rolled off the Moonie Highway.

All emergency services were called to the incident on the highway near Toombilla Road at about 6.30pm after the semi-trailer overturned, a Queensland Police spokeswoman said.

The eastbound lane of the highway was closed for more than an hour.

Queensland Ambulance service reported the driver, a man in his 20s, was uninjured.

Investigations into how the truck rolled are ongoing.
