Empty shop fronts are being filled across Central Queensland as three regional communities are set to welcome three new businesses.
Plants, homewares, workwear, embroidery and machinery are among the products to be offered at the new shop fronts at Emerald, Moranbah and Clermont in September and October.
- Finstones Workwear, Rural Clothing and Embroidery, Clermont
Two local families have teamed up to bring Finstones to Clermont, selling workwear, rural clothing and embroidery.
Businesswoman Sally Lestone, who runs the business alongside Natalie Finger, says Finstones will offer many of the same products as her previous store, Shop 38, but without the fashion element.
“We felt like there was a real need for country clothing and embroidery,” Mrs Lestone said.
“It’s very exciting. We already have a really great clientele and they’re all really excited for us.”
The new shop, which will be located on the main street of Clermont with an exact location to be advised, will also stock work boots and safety equipment, with all stock available in store and online.
Mrs Lestone said they were aiming to have doors open in October, although they were already taking orders through email, sales@finstones.com.au and Facebook.
- Gone Potty, Moranbah
A Moranbah couple that has been selling plants and pots from home and markets is now opening a brick and mortar location in the town.
Gone Potty will stock plants, giftwares and homewares including pots, bath mats, wall hangings, as well as a range of Tradie merchandise.
The couple grows all the plants in a greenhouse in their yard, and has attended numerous markets across the region including Moranbah and Dysart.
Gone Potty is expected to open in October, although an exact location is unknown.
- Brown and Hurley, Emerald
The Australian trucking and agriculture machinery dealer has expanded its business with the store opening at Emerald.
Recently opening at 10 Gregory Highway, the new location will stock New Holland’s full range of tractors, hay equipment, balers, and construction equipment, as well as truck and trailer parts.
