It is anticipated the airport precinct would also, in the future, include an expanded air hub/terminal, rental car carpark, bus hub, rentable lots, an airport maintenance depot, solar farm and new main access and service roads.

According to the development application the car wash would comprise of five wash bays and five vacuum bays.

Four of the wash bays would be for the use of hire car companies, with one wash bay being dedicated to public use.

The wash bay for public use would have a higher roof and would be fitted with stairs to accommodate for washing bigger vehicles, such as RVs.

All five vacuum bays would be available for public use and also used by the hire car companies.

According to the report the vacuum bays would be established within a sheltered and unenclosed area, similar to that of a service station.

The wash bays would have a similar design, but be fitted with roller doors on each side to prevent use outside of business hours.

The proposed car wash would also include an enclosed structure within the wash bay area which will accommodate the plant room.

According to the proposal document the intended operating hours of the car wash would be from 7am to 5pm seven days a week.

The document says the car wash would have six carparking spaces, however it was anticipated they would not be regularly used as it was anticipated customers would park in the wash and vacuum bays, use them and then leave.
