Sunshine Beach
WHEN you look at an area as picture perfect as Sunshine Beach, it is easy to see why Sunshine Coast home values have been rising since mid 2013. CoreLogic RP Data shows that, over the 12 months to December 2014, house values rose by 6.7% and the number of houses sold across the Sunshine Coast increased by 9% over the year.

Yamba
When your town is declared by CSIRO to have the best climate in the world, you know you are living in the right place. With only about 7000 people living in the beachside community of Yamba, it still provides that relaxed community feel but continues to grow at 5% per annum. Properties well within the million can be seen in Yamba's canal estates.

Augustine Heights
Set in the rapidly growing Greater Springfield corridor, Augustine Heights continues to stand out in the Ipswich region. Most recently another 125 homes have been approved, plus a big new commercial development. Ipswich councillor Paul Tully said Ipswich was booming as the city's population edged closer to 200,000.

Banora Point
Nestled in the Tweed River estuary, this appealing suburb covers 12sq km, about 5% of which is lush parkland. Rainbow Realty principal Lenny McLennan said this fast-growing coastal community had experienced steady growth. CoreLogic RP Data says that over the 12 months to November 2014, sales volumes were 12% higher in this area than a year before.

Glenella
West of Mount Pleasant in Mackay, Glenella stands out for its distinct residential pockets. Areas such as Baxter Drive have the older-style homes and quality increases up the hill to Northview Tce. Newer estates continue to add value, such as Valetta and Edgewater, and Northview Gardens with its central lagoon and modern homes.
