Two hurt as trucks, cars collide on main road to Bargara
The driver of a removalist truck involved in a serious crash outside Bundaberg has frantically tried to help a seriously injured teenager while emergency crews rushed to the scene.

The driver of a removalist truck which was hit by a Holden sedan outside Bargara tried to break the wrecked car’s front window in to help the seriously injured young man after his vehicle collided with a plumbing truck, it has emerged.
Multiple emergency crews were called to the scene and the rescue chopper dispatched to the intersection of Bargara and Hughes Rds, about 9.15am Wednesday, after the crash which involved two cars and two trucks.
Police said the 19-year-old driver of the Holden tried to overtake a removalist truck heading towards the city on the busy road, which is the main link between Bargara and Bundaberg.
A flat-bed plumbing truck and yellow Toyota were headed in the opposite direction.
The Holden tried to pull back in, clipped the removalist truck and then crashed into the flat-bed truck head on, suffering serious leg and chest injuries.
The Toyota then collided with the rear-end of the plumbing truck.
The driver of the removalist truck then tried to free the driver of the Holden while emergency crews rushed to the scene.
Police diverted traffic from the scene for an hour as responders worked to treat the patients and clear the wreckage.
A man of unknown age suffered serious leg and chest injuries.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said one of the vehicles was only “slightly” involved in the crash.
The driver of the Holden was taken to Bundaberg Hospital in a serious but stable condition, and the plumbing truck driver was taken to the same hospital with a neck injury.
The RACQ LifeFlight helicopter was stood down.
