Police divers on scene as car pulled from the Burnett River
A small SUV apparently submerged for some time has been pulled from the Burnett River near one of Bundaberg’s main bridges into the inner city, and police divers are now scouring the scene.

Police divers are investigating the discovery of a submerged vehicle in the Burnett River.
The small, reddish SUV was pulled from the river under the main traffic bridge leading into the Bundaberg CBD about midday on Wednesday, October 16, and police divers could be seen circling the scene in a boat apparently searching for something.
The vehicle was covered in thick mud indicating it had likely been under water for some period of time.
Five times cars have ended up in the Burnett River
Police media have been contacted for more information but had failed to respond by the time of publication.
