Bundaberg South: Man hurt in mobility scooter incident

A man is in hospital after crashing his mobility scooter on a quiet Bundaberg street.

A man in his 70s has been rushed to hospital after an incident involving a mobility scooter overnight.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Bundaberg South before 7pm Friday evening after reports of a man injured.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Ambulance Services said the man was travelling along Flint St when the mobility scooter he was on came into contact with the kerb.

“He hit the kerb and took a tumble” she said.

Paramedics treated the man for back injuries sustained in the fall.

He was taken to hospital for further treatment shortly after.
