Man airlifted after Kalpowar car crash

A man aged in his 20s was airlifted from near the scene of a car accident on a dirt road north west of Bundaberg on Tuesday afternoon.
A Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew airlifted the man, who suffered multiple injuries in the single-vehicle crash near Kalpowar.
The chopper landed on a remote dirt road close to the crash site about 4.30pm, a Lifeflight statement read.
On board were a critical care LifeFlight doctor and a Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedic, who teamed up with local paramedics to stabilise the man at the scene.
He was flown to the Bundaberg LifeFlight base in a stable condition, before being taken by ambulance to Bundaberg Hospital.
