A Bundaberg driver has been caught on camera in a bizarre blunder, reversing straight into a marked police car in the middle of a busy roundabout.
Footage shared to a local Facebook group, dedicated to showing “bad drivers” in Bundaberg shows the white ute rolling through the Bourbong and Toonburra Streets roundabout near Subway before coming to an unexpected stop — and then reversing directly into the side of a police car.
The video, which was posted online on Sunday, July 13, has had 30,000 views and more than 1000 Likes, with many people on social media left stunned by the driver’s actions.
The incident happened on Friday, July 11, and police say they are still investigating it.
“Investigations are underway into a two-vehicle crash, involving a utility and marked police vehicle, which occurred at a roundabout near Bourbong Street and Toonburra Street, Bundaberg Central on July 11,” a Queensland Police Service spokesman said.
No charges have been laid at this stage.
