Man fights for life after being found with severe head injuries in Bundaberg

A man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Queen Street in Bundaberg North early this morning, sparking a police investigation.

A man is fighting for his life after being found with a severe head injury on Queen St in Bundaberg North early this morning.

Paramedics were called to the scene at 2.51am and transported the man to Bundaberg Hospital in a critical condition.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman described the man’s injuries as “life-threatening.”

Queensland Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

“Around 2.50am, a man was lying on the roadway when he was run over by a vehicle,” a police spokeswoman said.

“The driver is assisting police with the inquiries.

“Anyone with dashcam footage or CCTV from the area is urged to contact police,” she said.

The incident was one of several emergencies overnight in the Bundaberg region.

At Burnett Heads, a man was taken to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition after a single-vehicle rollover on Moores Rd at 10.42pm.

Earlier, at 8.12pm, paramedics attended a single-vehicle rollover on Birthamba Rd in South Kolan.

A woman in her 20s sustained significant pelvic and foot injuries and was transported to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, at Round Hill, a woman in her 30s was treated for a snake bite to the leg at 7.24pm. She was transported to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
