Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a horror single-vehicle crash 20 minutes north of Bundaberg this afternoon.

A man in his 70s was trapped in the car after a reported medical episode.

Initial reports suggest the man crashed his car into a power pole on Plum Creek Crescent at 3.10pm this afternoon, and emergency services treated him for chest pain.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Police Service said a passenger escaped the crash with minor injuries and was treated at the scene by QAS.

Two fire crews arrived at the scene shortly after 3.30pm and assisted paramedics in freeing the man.

Both patients have been taken to Bundaberg hospital in a stable condition.
