A statement from the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service shed light on the worsening Covid situation, where the total count for positive cases across Bundaberg is now sitting at 1044.
“Due to the shift to Rapid Antigen Testing and untested symptomatic people, our public health team advises there will be many other cases throughout our region,” a spokesman said.
“It is vital to reduce your risk when out in the community by wearing your mask, maintaining social distancing, performing regular hand hygiene, monitoring for symptoms and getting tested if you develop any symptoms.”
