Former premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s sensational blame game over the centrepiece fof the 2032 Games has gone down like lead balloon with punters. WHAT YOU SAID

Former premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has slammed the handling of the 2032 Olympic Games, taking aim at both her Labor successor Steven Miles and Premier David Crisafulli.
Speaking to Channel 9’s Today Show, the former premier sensationally lashed the government, urging them to “pull together” and make a decision.
“When I left we had a plan. We were sticking to the plan and the tenders would have been out now for The Gabba, and the planning and construction would have been … getting into it now,” Ms Palaszczuk told the Today Show.
The shock interview has sparked conversation among The Courier-Mail’s readers, with some disapproving of the former premier’s thoughts, others stating it was time to call it quits on the Brisbane Olympics.
Here’s what you had to say.
This was your plan to begin with?
Gazza
She is delusional. She is the reason the last three years were wasted and we’re in the mess the new Premier now has to sort and get us back on track.
Red
Your plan Anna was to get out before the mess was discovered.
Leanne
God help us she is responsible for the mess we are in.
Pete
The audacity of this woman. Everything she had to do with the Olympics bid and subsequent plans all went pear shaped when she was Premier. Under funded, ridiculous plans to build a stadium unsuitable and in the wrong place. Before she could do anymore damage they got rid of her. This is her legacy, a total shambles.
Think you’ve done enough
Alan
Ms Palaszcuk the time for you to be in charge is well and truly over. Goodbye
Mary
Woke up this morning and turned on the TV to see her desperately trying to rewrite her legacy. I really did laugh out loud.
Tony
Palaszczuk is still delusional. She never had “ a plan”. She had an idea with no costing & no funding fundamentals. Everyone has ideas, they are known as fantasies but very few have realistic achievable plans.
Gregory
This disaster is on Anna, and she should hang her head in shame. I hope when the Olympics arrive, she is nowhere to be seen. No red carpet for Anna. If she attends, it should be as a paying customer with a ticket allocated to the nosebleeds!
Samantha
This is what happens after years of being told that you are wonderful and perfect and know everything. Her mate Stephen Miles didn’t achieve much either.
Randall
Hey Anna, Your only plan was to keep spending money WE didn’t have. It is clear that you and your successor had ZERO idea about budgeting and just pulled ideas and figures out of the air. Thankfully your hopeless Government is now gone. Arrivederci and Au Revoir.
Don’t hate on Victoria Park
Bob
I can’t believe her criticism of the lack of transport to Victoria Park. Has she ever used public transport? Victoria Park is brilliantly serviced by public transport and should provide an incredible world class facility beyond 2050.
Keith
If her government hadn’t run the economy into the ditch, there would be plenty of money for Victoria Park. She’s sent the joint broke.
Steve
The Gabba was chosen by Anastasia and no one else because of the cross river rail project. She didn’t have a proper business case for cross river rail, hence it received no federal funding. Revamping the Gabba for the Olympics was her plan to justify the cross river rail. She says there’s no transportation to Victoria Park. Why? There’s a new Ekka station being built a short walk from Vic Park
Edward
Victoria Park consistently wins surveys … yes please!
Should we be cancelling the games?
Monique
Just cancel them or take the privately funded option. Save everyone the money and the drama
Mario
What about an option to cancel the games because we can’t afford them?
John
Get rid of the Olympics now
Pail
Needs to be cancelled clearly qld cannot afford it
