ON Tuesday, I had to go into the Toowoomba city centre. A normal work Tuesday, it was just after 3pm.
The empty parking spaces were so surprising, I took several photos.
In both Margaret and Ruthven Sts, one third to two thirds of the one-hour parking spaces were empty.
Around the corner in Little St (no meters since the Grand Central expansion) seven of the eight spaces in the one-hour part were empty.
It looks like the Toowoomba Regional Council has finally killed off the city centre.
