How council can stop theft of Bum Bum Creek sign

YESTERDAY’S edition contains an article regarding the plight and angst surrounding the disappearance yet again of the two Bum Bum Creek signs.

YESTERDAY'S edition contains an article regarding the plight and angst surrounding the disappearance yet again of the two Bum Bum Creek signs.

Perhaps the council might take a moment to consider an example set by the Western Downs Regional Council in the case of Wonka Rd near Cecil Plains.

Unfortunately Wonka is pronounced wanka therefore making the road sign a prime target.

Western Downs has resolved the situation by installing a one tonne sandstone block on the corner set into a slab of concrete depicting the name Wonka Rd in very large black lettering.
