YOUR SAY: There is a lot of concern about the numbers of suicides in the country. However, unfortunately, they don't include in that the stupidity of people overtaking a left turning vehicle, crossing double white lines, and sometimes with their young family onboard, just before a hill crest.
That is a regular occurrence on Goombungee Rd at the second entrance to Valley View Drive, Meringandan West.
If, and eventually it will happen, and in daylight hours, because headlights approaching, give them a chance, at night, they will kill an innocent coming from the other direction, possibly all other family members travelling with them, and possibly others.
Maybe a standing recorder to observe the intersection, daily, might fix the problem, however it will sooner or later show who was to blame for the slaughter at the intersection.
This is a problem for either the council and or the police.
I personally would not like to see such an accident occur, however I think as time goes on the odds of it go up.
