The first few days of summer have turned it on for Sydneysiders and it’s ready to heat up even more, with perfect beach weather forecast for the rest of the week.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting hot and dry conditions, with the mercury set to climb to 35C on Friday afternoon as hot air from the north moves toward the city.
We’re also in for a scorching start to the weekend, with a maximum of 37C predicted on Saturday before rain arrives the following day, sending temperatures plummeting.
Bureau of Meteorology senior meteorologist Brandon Creagh said a cold front would move through Sydney on Sunday, but “there is a bit of uncertainty around the timing”.
“It might come in the afternoon or the evening,” he said.
Mr Creagh said early indications were that December would be drier and warmer than average.
