Sydney set for a week of sunshine and mild temperatures as morning frosts linger in the west

Sydney is heading into a week of clear skies and mild winter temperatures, with sunshine dominating the forecast.

Sydney residents can look forward to a stretch of pleasant winter weather, with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting clear skies and mild temperatures across the week.

After a crisp start on Monday with early morning temperatures dipping to 6C, the day will warm to a sunny high of 17C.

This trend of sunshine and stable temperatures is expected to continue throughout the week, offering a welcome break from wet or stormy winter conditions.

Tuesday will see a brief increase in cloud cover but will remain dry with the mercury climbing to 19C, while clearer skies are forecast from Wednesday through Sunday with daily highs ranging between 16C and 19C.

Despite the sunny days, residents in Sydney’s outer western suburbs are being warned of potential morning frosts on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, as overnight lows drop to between 6C and 8C.

Light winds are expected for most of the week, and the UV index is predicted to remain low at level 2, meaning sun protection is not considered necessary during outdoor activities.

The extended spell of stable weather will be a welcome change for those hoping to enjoy outdoor events or plan winter getaways.

While mornings may start off chilly, the combination of sunshine and gentle breezes should make for comfortable conditions across the Greater Sydney region.

BoM has also issued a warning for sheep graziers in the Northern Tablelands, South West Slopes, and Snowy Mountains forecast districts.

Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and north-westerly winds are expected during today and Tuesday.
