A woman accused of the murder of a man whose body was found stuffed into a surfboard bag on a remote bushland driveway has entered a plea in the Supreme Court, setting the stage for a high stakes trial.
Lisa Marie Cummings, 35, has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Nambucca Heads man Mark Myers, 62.
The body of Mark Myers was found in a surfboard bag on the driveway of a property at Darkwood, sparking a massive police investigation which led to the eventual arrest of Cummings.
Police allege Cummings murdered Myers in a different location before the body was zipped into the surfboard bag and moved to Darkwood in the Thora Valley, west of Bellingen.
Cummings has remained in custody on remand since her arrest with bail formally refused by the court.
She pleaded not guilty to murder (domestic violence) before the NSW Supreme Court on August 1.
Cummings will face the Supreme Court again on September 5.
