Horror Weddell crash claims second victim as 25-year-old driver dies in hospital
A second victim has tragically died in hospital after a horror three vehicle crash at Weddell last week.

A 25-year-old man involved in a crash at Weddell last week has died in hospital on Saturday.
He is the second victim of the three-vehicle incident, after motorcyclist George Wilson died at the scene.
Emergency services responded to reports of a collision on Finn Rd about 5.30am on Tuesday.
It was alleged the 25-year-old driver was attempting to overtake another car when he collided head-on with Mr Wilson’s motorbike.
The driver was taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital in a critical condition where he later died from his injuries.
NT Police Acting Deputy Commissioner Martin Dole said a 60-year-old man driving the car overtaken immediately prior to the crash also became involved in the pileup after the initial collision.
“He was uninjured and has provided a statement to assist (major crash) investigators to understand how the crash occurred,” he said.
“Investigations into this crash are ongoing and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The deaths bring the road toll to 26 lives lost on Territory roads this year, compared with 46 at this time last year.
“Christmas is just around the corner and 26 lives lost on our roads this year is 26 too many,” Commissioner Dole said.
“That’s 26 families who will be celebrating Christmas without their loved ones.
“The fatal five are a key factor in fatal motor vehicle accidents: speeding, drink or drunk driving, driving distracted, not wearing your seatbelt and driving tired all contribute to our road toll.
“Please remember the fatal five and think before you drive a motor vehicle this year.”
